Club Tournaments
The club runs four tournaments open to all members with handicaps of 20 or less, all played on handicap.
The Verulam Cup, 26 point, played on the full lawn with a three hour time limit.
The Kitson Cup, 18 point, played on the full lawn with a two hour time limit.
The Mahoney Shield, 14 point, played on a half lawn.
Speed Croquet, a one day doubles tournament played on half lawns with 30 minute time limits for each side.
In addition we run a heat of the National One-ball competition.

All of the competitions this year will be a 'all vs all' format. Scores will be updated on the grids below on a periodic basis.

Speed Croquet
The speed croquet tournament was held twice this year on 26th June 2021 and 25th Sept 2021.
26th June - The format was progressive doubles with each pair having 30 minutes to complete their strokes. The 8 players were split into a low handicap and a high handicap block, and each pair was made up of one player from each block. Stephen won the low handicap block and Mike won the high handicap block. A great day was had by all and many thanks to Roger for organising the day.

25th Sept - As with the earlier competition, the format was progressive doubles with each pair having 30 minutes to complete their strokes. 14 players took part split into a low handicap and a high handicap block, and each pair was made up of one player from each block. Heather won the low handicap block and Kevin won the high handicap block. As this competition was combined with the end of season trophy presentation, we also had some spectators!

OneBall
Charity One-ball (1st May 2021)
The St Albans heat of the National Charity One-Ball competition in aid of the British Heart Foundation was held on the 1st May. Heather/Stephen/Vicki & Miles took part in an all play all format. Stephen won the competition but isn't able to attend the final on the 9th May at Surbiton so Heather is going to represent the club. A fun morning was had by all made all the better for raising £75 for a deserving cause.
