1st Sept  - Finals Day 20th September

We plan to hold a finals day on the 20th September.  The plan for the day is:

  • 10am - GC Final - Ross vs Roger W (best of 3 games)

  • Following the final, a social game of something (e.g. doubles GC or AC, pirates etc.) for anyone who wants to play.  For as long as people want to play.

Tea/Coffee and at least one cake will be there.  I'll take some sandwiches and will stay as long as people once, so feel free to bring you're own lunch if you want!

We'll hold the presentation of the trophies over to next year (AGM?)

1st Sept - End of Season Plans

A combination of us doing the watering, and the new groundsman (Owen) being very keen, means the lawn is in a better state than it has been in recent years.  We want to carry on that trend by carrying out the Autumn Maintenance asap to allow the new seed to germinate.  Owen's keen to do that in the week following the finals (i.e. w/c 22nd Sept).  We will close the lawn as soon as he starts, and will send out a mail (probably at short notice), so any play on or after 22nd September should be considered 'At Risk' as you may get kicked off/find the lawn closed.

17th Aug - Competition Update

We have our first winner and semi-finalists in the club competition.  Jon Palin has won the Kitson Level Advanced Cup and Stuart, Roger W, Stephen and Ross will contest the semi finals of the GC competition.

24th March - Lawn is open

Thanks to Heather, Stephen, Mike and Roger for setting up the lawn which is now open!
