2026 GC Fun Doubles Sun 6th August

8 players took part in the GC Fun Doubles on a very hot Sunday afternoon. It was
re-named as the “Crazy Croquet” tournament due to the unpredictability of the very
fast, dry, brown lawn.

However, the players entered into it enthusiastically, playing 4 rounds of 20 minute
games, each with a different partner, with Primary colours starting from corner 4, and
Secondary colours from corner 2

After a stop for cold drinks and cake, and some deliberation, a final was decided with
John Dey and Julie Nixon playing Heather Bennett and Mike Hann, with the latter
winning.

Thank you to those who took part, and to Roger White and Brian Johns who re-set
the hoops so that we were able to play.
